Leg godt!

Contemporary public space faces a transformation process due to new interaction concepts developed by our society. Its inhabitants eager of vertigo, produce an incessant change of use within their limits (concerts, exhibitions, outdoors exercises, recreation, meetings points, etc.) While this happens, public space explores ways to give support to the dynamic nature of these activities usually from static infrastructures. This proposal seeks another approach.

We focus on change as the fundamental premise of the project and base the whole strategy on the development of a simple system of elements (floors, walls and roofs) with the ability to organize them in many ways giving response to the complex needs that converge not just in a particular place but those occurs through the time.

As a basic element of this system, a floating hexagonal wood platform allows developing different configurations. This system includes other elements such as green platforms, pool areas, recycled plastic benches, lighting poles and wind shields. The platforms have each one side of the hexagon with a set of anchors that allow them to engage each other as well as to the channel edges.

Leg godt!  is not a final  public space proposal for Ørestad it is just a way to explore their many variants
